The Tandem Friends School is a private institution located on a 24-acre hilltop parcel of land just south of Charlottesville, Virginia. The main academic building, a large historic brick structure that previously served as a residence, now acts as the focal point of the site. Through master planning and site planning for individual buildings, McKee Carson helped shape the growth of the school grounds into the 21st century. To date, work has been completed on the Community Hall, the Field House, relocation of the soccer field, and the creation of revised entrance drive, drop-off and parking facility.
Responsibilities included master planning, landscape architecture, engineering of utilities, roads, parking, and stormwater management facilities and construction oversight.
